Prime Minister Calin Popescu – Tariceanu has laid the foundation stone at the new building of the French High School “Anna de Noailles ” together with Mrs. Brigitte Girardin , French Minister Delegate for Cooperation, Development and Francophonie .

Prime Minister has expressed his satisfaction for the participation in the inauguration of the construction works of the high school and he has appreciated that the institution will serve to the perpetuation of the French culture on the Romanian soil.

“I am convinced that this high school will serve to an equal extent both the French who are temporarily living in Romania, and the Romanians who want to send their children learn a language of international circulation, in order to give them the possibility to have access to objectives which they would not afford using only the Romanian”, the Head of the Executive has stated.

Mrs. Brigitte Girardin has appreciated the contribution of the Romanian authorities to the start of this project and she has stated that the French Government will support, including financially the building of the French high school “Anna de Noailles ”.   

The construction works are estimated to be finalized in July 2007.
