President of Romania , Traian Basescu will visit the United States on September 13 th – 16 th , 2005 , and will travel to San Francisco and Detroit to meet the Romanian community, as well as American business partners of Romania .
After participating to the sessions of the UN 2005 World Summit, President Basescu will fly to San Francisco where he will meet the Romanian Community representatives, Romanian software engineers working for IT and communications companies in Sillicon Valey , as well as American companies with investments in Romania , such as Solectron , Oracle, Hewlett -Packard.
San Francisco , September 15 th :
- 4:30 p.m at the Stanford University, Stanford Quad, Building 320, room 105 President Basescu will deliver a speech on “ Achieving democracy from the Black Sea to the Middle East and beyond” and meet Romanian students and professors.
- 6:00 p.m. , at the Casa Romana ( 26050 Key Ave. , Hayword , CA 94545 ), President Basescu will participate at a Reception with Romanian Community in the State of California
Detroit , September 16 th
- 6:00 p.m. , at the Henry Ford Museum ( 20900 Oakwood Blvd. , Dearborn ) will attend a Reception where he will meet representatives of the Romanian Community in the Detroit area.
