Visit of H.E. Traian Basescu, President of Romania, to New York

September 13-14, 2005

• The President of Romania, H.E. Traian Basescu, participated in New York at the High-level Plenary Meeting of the UN Summit, between September 13 and 14. The head of the Romanian delegation took part in the opening session of the UN Summit, delivered a speech the first day of the debates, and was present, alongside with the UN Secretary General and the other 14 world leaders, at the works of the third ever Security Council Summit meant to identify consolidated ways of combating international terrorism and preventing conflicts.
