Prime Minister Tariceanu has underlined the strategic partnership existing between the two countries and he has pleaded for its deepening through the development of economic relations. " Romania will be the seventh EU market in terms of size further to its accession. There are many business opportunities and there would be very benefic provided that large US companies come to invest here” the Head of the Romanian Executive has underlined.
Prime Minister has also underlined that the consolidation of the stability in the Black Sea region is a common preoccupation for both Romania and the USA administration, this representing at the same time a contribution to European security policies.
Both officials have agreed that stability in the Black Sea region can be guaranteed through building economic or environment protection projects that all countries of this region would get involved in and would obtain benefits of. The building of the oil pipeline from Caspic Sea towards Europe and cooperation programs for emergency intervention in environment related issues have been given as examples of joint projects by Prime Minister Tariceanu.
Mr. Stephen Hadley has congratulated the Romanian authorities for the actions taken to fight the aviary flu and for their involvement in the efforts made at world level towards fighting this danger. " You have taken wise decisions further to the emergence of aviary flu cases and I congratulate you for this. The aviary flu can be defeated only within an international framework. I appreciate your involvement in the international efforts too”, the High ranking American official has stated.
