President Traian Basescu in Brussels

President of Romania, Traian Basescu , took part on Tuesday, February 22 nd 2005, at the NATO Summit in Brussels, where Heads of State and Government from the 26 NATO countries gathered for a discussion on transatlantic issues at the highest level.

	The Romanian President was welcomed at the Alliance Headquarters by the Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.
	President Basescu attended the Summit Meeting of the North Atlantic Council.
	President Basescu also took part at the meeting of the NATO – Ukraine Commission, where he presented Romania 's position regarding the NATO – Ukraine relation.
