With respect to the severe floods that have affected Romania recently, and the specific procedures initiated by the Romanian Government to coordinate relief assistance, we would like to inform you that the competent Romanian authorities made significant efforts to reduce the disastrous effects of the floods and provide support to the distressed areas. Nonetheless, external humanitarian and, in particular, reconstruction assistance for the rehabilitation of the flooded regions would represent a considerable contribution in the activities already underway to mitigate the negative consequences of the natural disaster.
For monetary donations/ contributions in US dollars for the distressed areas the Government of Romania has opened at BCR (Banca Comerciala Romana) the account no. RO11RNCB5010000138390085.
