ASSESSMENT

As a result of the heavy rainfalls occurred in Romania, in July 1-17
2005, 24 people have lost their lives – 15 in the Vrancea county, 4 in Bacau
county, 2 in Teleorman county, and one casualty in Alba, Constanta and Galati
counties, respectively.
Over 800 towns, in 32 Romanian counties, have sustained considerable
damages to their infrastructures, the agricultural network, households,
