Considering the risk presented by hurricane Gustav that is expected to hit the south coast of Louisiana state on September 1, 2008, the Embassy of Romania to Washington DC took emergency measures in order to offer support for Romanian citizens living in the exposed areas.

A working group established within the Embassy of Romania will urgently respond to inquires and support requests from Romanian citizens that may be affected by the hurricane. All Romanian citizens are kindly asked to follow the emergency procedures communicated by American local and federal authorities and, in case of need to contact the Romanian Embassy at the following coordinates:
