Ambassador Adrian Vierita attended the "Romania Festival" on Broadway Street in New York, on May 3rd, 2008. The event included a diverse program of Romanian music and dances performed by Romanian artists from Romania and US, as well as a fashion presentation by the Romanian well-known designer Catalin Botezatu. Ambassador Vierita addressed the audience stressing the particular significance of having a Romanian event in the heart of New York and appreciating the enthusiastic presence of the Romanian Americans at the event. At the same time, the Ambassador underlined that the support for the Romanian American community is a special part of the Romania-US relationship, whose consolidation is a top priority for the Romanian authorities.
