Romanian Palme d’Or Winner “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days” opens in theatres all over the United States

This year’s winner of Palme d’Or, as well as other prestigious international awards such as FIPRESCI Award, CFCA 2007, European Film Awards and LA Film Critics Awards, “4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days” directed by Cristian Mungiu will be screened in American theatres staring end of January 2008.

The official opening will be January 25, in New York at the IFC Center and Lincoln Plaza Cinema. Throughout February and early March the film will also enter theatres throughout the country.

Starting February 1st it will be screened in Washington DC at the E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004)

Here are some other dates and locations: January 1st - Los Angeles, CA, Royal and San Francisco, Embarcadero; February 2 – Seattle, Harvard Exit; February 8 - Chicago, IL, Music Box; February 22 - Cleveland, OH, Cedar Lee; and March 7 - North Miami, FL, Intercoastal.
