Romanian
Ambassador to the United States Adrian Vieriţă and U.S. Ambassador
to Romania Nicholas Taubman started the first U.S./Romanian
Ambassadorial Road Show to the United States, that takes place on
February 4-8, 2008, in New York, Washington, Atlanta, with
the purpose of highlighting Romanian business opportunities in those
sectors in which U.S. companies are currently under represented.
The delegation also includes
Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs of the Romanian Embassy
Viorel Onel, Commercial Attaché at the U.S. Embassy to Romania,
Cindy Biggs, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce
of Romania, Anca Harasim, and four AmCham Board members representing
U.S. firms and best prospect committees including: Silviu Hotaran –
Microsoft Romania, Cristian Colteanu – GE, Shahmir Khaliq –
Citigroup, and Mihaela Mitroi – PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The program consists of meetings with different US
companies in the areas of financial services, services/consulting,
energy, safety, security & defense, ICT, tourism.
