Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Adrian Cioroianu attended the working dinner offered by Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice

Wednesday, September 26 th , Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Adrian Cioroianu attended the working dinner offered by Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice, on the occasion of the 62 nd session of the UN General Assembly. The agenda of discussion focused on aspects related to the transatlantic relation, with highlights on Middle East, Africa and Kosovo.

On this occasion, Minister Cioroianu stated that Romania believes that the NATO Summit in Bucharest in 2008 will be of crucial importance to the future of the Alliance and to the bilateral dialogue between NATO and the Russian Federation , as well as for the developments in the Balkans.

The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs restated Romania 's favorable position on the extension to Croatia , Macedonia and Albania of the invitation to join NATO, with the occasion of the NATO Summit in Bucharest , as well as for including Georgia in the Membership Action Plan.
