Visit to the Czech Republic of Mr. Adrian Cioroianu,
minister of foreign affairs of Romania

 

Between 22 – 23 October 2007, Mr. Adrian Cioroianu, minister of foreign affairs of Romania was on an official visit to the Czech Republic where he met Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, Mr. Karel Schwarzenberg, minister of foreign affairs and the speakers of the Czech Parliament, Mr. Premsyl Sobotka and Miloslak Vlcek.

The main topics of the discussions were bilateral issues, European agenda, including the Reform Treaty and EU enlargement, regional issues - Western Balkans, Kosovo, Black Sea Region, Eastern neighborhood and security agenda.

The two ministers of foreign affairs also signed an Agreement between the government of Romania and the government of the Czech Republic on cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science, youth and sports.

Mr. Adrian Cioroianu met representatives of the Romanians that live in the Czech Republic, participated at a concert performed by soprano Anda-Louise Bogza and at the presentation of an exhibition of the plastic artist Teodor Buzu. The three events took place at the Embassy of Romania in Prague.
