The Conference is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute, with the support of the Embassy of Romania to the United States, in cooperation
with the Cold War International History Program of the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, and The Center for Eurasian, Russian
and East European Studies at the Georgetown University.
 

The event takes place under the patronage of Professor Vladimir Tismaneanu, Director of the Center for the Study of Post-Communist Societies, Government and Politics Department, University of Maryland - College Park & Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Commission for the Analysis of
the Communist Dictatorship in Romania
