Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai – Razvan Ungureanu met with the US special envoy for the Kosovo status talks, Frank Wisner Jr.

The agenda of discussion included aspects regarding the impact of the Kosovo status on regional security and stability, as well as recent evolutions in the Western Balkans.

Romanian foreign affairs minister restated Romania's commitment to contributing, as a NATO member and future member of the EU, to identifying a solution for Kosovo which might consolidate regional stability and contribute to strengthening the Euro-Atlantic perspective of countries in the region.

The meeting with ambassador Frank Wisner Jr. represents a new phase in the dialogue between the main actors on the relevant issues for Western Balkans future and for identifying best options to support the Euro Atlantic perspectives of the countries in the region.
