THE ROMANIAN MINSITRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS HAILS THE UNITED STATES' AVAILABILITY TO ASSOCIATE WITH EU3 FOR A DIALOGUE WITH IRAN

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the statement of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on May 31 st 2006, expressing availability of the United States to associate with EU3 (Great Britain, France and Germany) for a dialogue with Iran, in order to break the current deadlock in negotiations on the nuclear issue.

Romanian MFA expresses hope that Iranian authorities will constructively analyze this proposal and will send and affirmative response. Romanian MFA considers that the suggested new formula might offer a real perspective for creating the opportunity that will help finding a final diplomatic solution for this issue.
