Prime Minister has met with Mr. John Fleming, President, Ford of Europe

Today, Prime Minister Calin Popescu – Tariceanu has had a meeting with Mr. John Fleming, President, Ford of Europe

On this meeting, Mr. John Fleming has expressed Ford Company's firm intention to involve in the bid process relative to the SC Daewoo Automobile România SA privatization.

Prime Minister Tariceanu has assured the Ford representative that the potential investor will benefit of facilities awarded according to the European norms. The investor will have to submit projects aiming at the company's development, meant to contribute to jobs creation and stimulation of related industry.

The Head of the Executive has emphasized that the privatization process of SC Daewoo Automobile România SA will be transparent and fair one, adding that the Government wants this privatization to be achieved in the shortest time possible. On the PM request, the Office for State Participations and Privatization in Industry is preparing an action plan to accelerate the privatization process.
