Headline: Great Britain has ratified Romania and Bulgaria‘s EU Accession Treaty

The Government greets the promulgation of Romania and Bulgaria‘s EU Accession Treaty by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The decision reconfirms the constant support which British authorities have provided to Romania in its EU Accession process.

The Government of Romania gives assurances that our country will fulfill all its commitments for the Country Report of May 16th to confirm the 1st January 2007 as our EU accession date. Our accession efforts to EU standards will also continue further to the presentation of the Country Report. We want to be perfectly prepared to take over our obligations as full fledged member on the moment of our accession.
