Romanian Minsiter of Justice, Monica Macovei met on Thursday, November 10th, the US General Attorney and chief of the Department of Justice, Alberto Gonzales on the occasion of her visit to Washington on November 8 – 11, where she was invited to deliver a speech and took part in the International Seminar organized by the American Bar Association on “International Law Enforcement”

During her presence at Washington DC, the Romanian minister also met the co-chairman of the Helsinki Commission, senator Cristopher Smith and attended negotiations with the World Bank on a USD 130 million loan for reforms in the judicial system.
