US Secretary of State expressed her condolences following the death of Romanian caporal in Irak

US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice addressed a condolences letter to Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai- Razvan Ungureanu , following the death of Romanian caporal Bogdan Hâncu in Irak .

 Expressing her honest compassion to the Romanian people and the family of caporal Hâncu's who died in the Nasiriya attack on April 27 th , 2006 , the US official stated that “the US highly appreciated the courage of Romanian soldiers in the fight against terrorism and the support to promoting democracy and stability in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The letter of Dr. Rice also underlined “ Romania 's strong commitment toward this continuous fight, which proves the character of a true friend and ally”, according to the press release issued by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
