The Embassy of Romania warmly welcomes you at the European Open House Day.

Please join us to celebrate the Europe Day at the Romanian Embassy - 1607 23rd St. NW, Washington DC 20008.

 

Together with Embassies of other Member-States of the European Union and the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States, the Embassy of Romania will welcome guests for a wide range of Romanian cultural activities. Come and enjoy the Romanian traditions, values and warm hospitality! Find out more about Romania and the European Union!

 

Our doors will be open from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. and access will be permitted in accordance with the following schedule:

10:00a.m.; 11:00a.m.; 12:00a.m.; 1:00p.m.; 2:00p.m.; 3:00p.m.

 

Please, do not carry large bags or bag packs. ID required.

The Embassy can only host a limited no of guest at a time.

Security checks and screenings will be made at the entrance. Please wait calmly in line.

Learn to say “Hi!” in Romanian! A Romanian native will be there to teach you basic conversation in Romanian

Information Centers on Romania and the European Union will be open. Brochures and other informational material will be made available. Romanian natives will answer your every question about Romania and Europe !

The Poetry Corner. Find out more about Romanian poetry and listen to Romanian poems in the original language, by native speakers, as well as the English translation.

2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Romanian traditional dancing performed by Ciprian Porumbescu Ensemble

3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Documentary Film Screening – “The story of a journey” – 30 min.
