The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) and the Embassy of Romania co-hosted a reception honoring President Bush's White House Counsels on the evening of March 29. The reception preceded the Annual National Policy Conference of RNLA, scheduled to take place on March 30. The event featured distinguished professionals from the legal and political community of Washington , DC and all over the United States . The guest of honor and key-note speaker of the event was the Honorable Fred Fielding, White House Counsel to President Bush, former White House Counsel to President Reagan, Commissioner on the 9/11 Commission, and a former member of the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Federal Judiciary; the audience was also addressed by the Chair and President of RNLA, Mr. Richard Wiley, Wiley Rein LLP and Mr. J.C. Boggs, Blank Rome LLP. In her welcoming remarks, the Charge d' Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Romania, Mrs. Daniela Gitman,  presented Romania's journey to NATO and EU integration, the strategic partnership with the United States and the main priorities of the Romanian foreign policy agenda.
