Klaus Scharioth Ambassador of Germany, H.E. Elena Poptodorova , Ambassador of Bulgaria and H.E. Samuel Zbogar , Ambassador of Slovenia discussed the enlargement of the EU and Slovenia's joining the euro zone during a News Maker Event organized by the National Press Club.

Romania and Bulgaria membership added 30 million people to the European Union, thus completing its 5th round of enlargement and creating a Europe of almost a half billion citizens. Also, Slovenia is the first of the new member states to adopt the euro and the 13th of all 27 member states to do so.
