On December 18, 2007, Embassy of Romania co-hosted, with the World Affairs Council of Washington DC, a special event entitled “An Evening in Romania”. In her opening remarks, Charge d'Affaires a.i of the Romanian Embassy Daniela Gitman briefed the World Affairs Council members about the most recent developments in Romania almost a year after EU accession.  

For nearly three decades the World Affairs Council of Washington DC has provided its members and associates a unique opportunity to engage the world through foreign policy programs, embassy visits, town hall meetings and author presentations.  The World Affairs Council of Washington DC also sponsors a robust education program including high school youth forums, teacher workshops, internships and foreign study opportunities for deserving youth in the national capital area.
