On 14 April the Florida University Center for European Studies with the support of both Romanian Students Association and the local Romanian community organized an event for celebrating the Romanian integration in European Union. Several presentation on this topic were delivered by Romanian academics and a representative of Romanian Embassy in Washington DC on the impact of the EU integration over the bilateral relationship with US, the history of transition and the current social and demographic trends in the academic education. The cultural program comprised Romanian folk dances, a presentation of the Romanian cultural profile and a performance of a George Enescu (famous Romanian composer) sonata for violin and piano.
