Romanian artist Nicolae Voiculet and his folk music band performed at the Embassy of Romania in Washington DC on Monday October 23rd, 2006, for a public of more than 150 guests as part of the program “Romania in Sounds. Romania in the Music of the World”, a project supported by the Government of Romania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. Representatives of the US administration, of the diplomatic community in Washington DC, of the academic and cultural milieu as well as representatives of the Romanian community, Romanian – American media and Romanian correspondents in the US capital attended the event.
