On November 9, 2006, Daniela Gitman, Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of Romania in Washington DC, hosted the citizenship ceremony for American citizens Mariana Popescu-Falticeni from Florida and Ilie Marton from Texas. Both Ms. Popescu – Falticeni and Mr. Marton were born in Romania and later became American citizens while renouncing their Romanian citizenship. After swearing the oath on November 9th, at the Romanian Embassy in Washington DC, Ms. Popescu – Falticeni and Mr. Marton became Romanian – American citizens. Congratulations!
