On december 13th, 2006, The Embassy of Romania in Washington DC hosted the special Christmas concert of Vox Ama Deus, Jazz Renaissance NOEL, featuring Romanian conductor and pianist Valentin Radu with Vox Renaissance Consort and Philly Jazz.
A Romanian official delegation representing local authorities from Galati county and headed by governor Mihai Capra attended the event as well as representatives of the US administration, diplomatic corps in Washington DC, Romanian – American community, the academic milieu and press correspondents.
In the opening of the event, Mrs. Daniela Gitman, Charge d’Affairs a.i. addressed to the guests, expressing appreciation for their interest in the cultural activities organized by the Embassy in 2006, as well as for their general interest and openness toward Romanian cultural values.
The program presented by Vox Ama Deus included music of the Baroque and Classic style, as well as traditional Romanian carols and jazz music that enchanted the public of the event.
