Embassy of Romania participated in the “Grande Soiree de la Fracophonie”

The Embassy of Romania to Washington DC participated on Friday evening with a presentation stand in the “Grande Soiree de la Francophonie”, a traditional event hosted by the French Embassy on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of the Francophonie.
Guests discovered Romania and its traditional francophone connections while learning about Romania’s culture, its great artists Constantin Brancusi, George Enescu and Eugene Ionesco, viewing a video presentation of the natural beauties of the country and enjoying traditional foods and Romanian famous wine.
Friends of the Francophonie had the opportunity to meet Romanian Ambassador Sorin Ducaru and discuss about Romania’s program of events marking our country’s chairmanship of the International Organization of the Francophonie, and the hosting of the Francphonie Summit in September 2006 in Bucharest.
