On February 13th, Romanian Ambassador to the United States Sorin Ducaru visited University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Professor Gail Kingman, director of the Center for European and Eurasian Studies in the UCLA International Institute invited ambassador Ducaru to meet with the Romanian students and the professors interested in Romania and the Black Sea Region.

The ambassador then met with UCLA faculty members and discussed about the most recent political and economic developments in Romania, the transatlantic relations, the transformation of the European Union and the role Romania will play once it joins the EU in 2007.
