Ohio University Project on Romania

On May 20th 2005, students from Ohio University traveled to Washington to present their findings on Romania to the embassy staff. During the Spring semester, the students conducted research on various topics related to the US-Romanian relationship, particularly the opportunities for sister city partnerships, the characteristics of the Romanian community in Ohio, potential partnerships between Ohio based universities and colleagues on Romania, arts programs, and the development of Romanian student/ faculty organizations in Ohio. Despite the fact that their projects have come to an end, many of the students from Ohio University continue to remain interested in Romania, some even plan to visit the country during this summer.
