A delegation of AmCham representatives from Romania, Hungary and Slovakia visited Washington DC

On November 13 – 16 a delegation of AmCham representatives from Romania, Hungary and Slovakia visited Washington DC and had meetings with representatives of the American authorities and institutions on the development and supporting of business relations with countries in East and Central Europe. Leaders of the AmChams from the three countries (Roberto Musneci and Anca Harasim- Romania, Peter Fath- Hungary and Jake Slagers- Slovakia), as well as important companies representatives took part in the delegation in order to present and promote the business opportunities in the three countries and the process of strengthening of the regional economic cooperation.

The delegation had meetings at the State Department, the Department of Commerce, AmCham – USA, the National Security Council, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee and had talks with the representatives of the local business community.

On this occasion, the Romanian Embassy hosted the working meeting with the board of United States Trade Representatives and organized a reception for almost 100 guests representing the local business milieu and the American authorities. The US Ambassador designate to Romania Nicholas Taubman also attended the event.
